Barcelona 2024. Our three big “firsts” at this year’s ISE

The renowned trade fair, the largest of its kind in the world for audio-visual and smart technologies, turns the monumental Fia Gran Via convention centre into a “living beehive” of people devouring technological innovation for four days. But we have known ISE like this for many years. This year’s, however, at least for us, was new in many ways. In what specific ways?

Three brands under one “roof”

Inspinia. That’s the name of our new brand, which should become the flagship of our entire portfolio in the future. It has found a place in the spacious stand alongside two traditional ones. While ELKO EP has been synonymous with quality relays for more than thirty years; and iNELS has been associated with intelligent wiring for more than fifteen years, Inspinia was recently created by the merger of two Czech and Turkish top developers. We have combined know how and development teams with Astrum Technology, a company that has been developing smart solutions on the Skythings platform for a long time. Inspinia plans to combine the best of both worlds – and we dare say that in the field of hardware and software solutions it will be competitive with the world’s biggest manufacturers. That is why the CEO of the new company, Koray Duran, who recently moved to Brno, was also with us at ISE.

International team

Just as the ISE exhibition itself had only a few domestic and a strong predominance of foreign participants, we also took a significantly international team to our stand for the first time in history. In addition to the already elevated Koray Duran, Jeevak Mathew Varughese also travelled with us to Barcelona. Our product manager with Indian roots and experience of over four years in Qatar. He will now be responsible for not only the technological advancement of our product lines right here in Holesov, but also for the development of our activities in India, where our products will operate under the ForrestLink brand and be distributed by the renowned Cavitak.

For the first time as part of the Matter family

In January, ELKO EP became a member of Matter, which has the ambition to unify the control of individual “smart devices” in the field of electrical, air conditioning, heating or home appliances. They can also be controlled in different ways: by buttons on the wall, by a key fob in the car, by an app on the phone, by TV or by voice assistants. We have joined the ranks of manufacturers who want to maintain the highest levels of security. Two years ago, we introduced the Thread protocol – which is the communication layer of the wireless protocol. But as of this year, we are officially a member of the family of global leaders. And all of our new iNELS Wireless innovations will meet strict certification criteria.
